Spent yesterday morning bottle feeding the sprog, slightly bored and looking out the window when this whizzed past and caught my eye. Tried to get some better footage but kept missing it so this is the best i could get - not the greatest but better than nothing.

Its all about the letters!!!
During this years summer jam at the DPM, Sync took the opportunity to grab a some writers and carry out a few interviews. Here is Part 1 of his interview with Irelands finest, Rask (part 2 of the interview to follow).
Rask is no stranger to the Scottish scene having hooked up with Eez wayback, taken part in some of his old school jams. A top writer and an equally top bloke.
Have a listen and remember - Its all about the letters!!!

AUA by Jaze 1986, photographed late 2009.
Above "AuA" in 1986 and Below in 2009!
Here is how Jaze's AUA piece looks nearly 24 years later.
Given that this was carpaint on what looks like an unprimed wall its pretty mental it is visible at all. The yellow & green looks pretty vibrant I wonder if the letters & bubbles were emulsioned first?
The ghost of the "Crime of the 80's" piece is still visible on the wall behind this also!

Sin Dundee 86/87
Early pieces from Dundee by Sin. As with everyone else, highly "influenced" by what was available to graff writers at the time but no mistaking the mans skills particularly on the bottom piece.
Met up with him a few months back, had a chat about "spitting" pieces and all that good old school stuff.
DREAM 1986
Done on the back of Linlathen High School. The school was covered in full coloured graff pieces, everyone knew who was responsible including the teachers. Then some arse comes along and paints a naked picture of one of the 3rd years and that was that!! Graffiti proof paint was applied to most surfaces. A few pieces went up after that but these were quickly water blasted off the wall.

out of retirement
Jaze and Lyken
You may have already read about this on Lykens flickr. Thought the flick was up here but...
Anyway, Jaze was one of the very first wave of writers in Scotland. His influence on Dundee and those passing through the city cannot be underestimated. His pieces on the Kingsway are legendary. He recently picked up the cans for the first time in 23 years. Read more here.
Anyone for some haggis bagpipes and angel delight?
